Thank you Jason Wolfe!

Hot diggity dog, I'm dancing in the streets!!! Based on a recent thread about WRKO and the possibility of a morning format change, I decided to tune in this morning, OMG, how nice it is to actually be able to listen to SAM without interruptions every 10 minutes with traffic, weather, commercials. Thank you Jason Wolfe for bringing back some sense of sanity, now, please, get rid of that repetitive crap from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays, the two hour financial yawners on Sunday morning and the one hour drug rehab, pat myself on the back for being a rockstar and doing drugs show on Sunday afternoon!

Re: Thank you Jason Wolfe!...for Dana

"We realize that John DePetro doesn't quite have the deep, distinguished
voice that...some people have..." Thus spoke Dana Hersey this morning
in one of his liners for 'RKO. He's also poked fun of Howie's girth
and his salary, etc....yep, thanks J.W. for bringing back Dana (if he indeed
is the reason why). There's one improvement for 680!

Now,everyone say, in as deep a voice as you can..."TV 38...WSBK-TV, Boston..."

On the issue of the reruns on Sat mornings, or Radio Rewinds as WTKK might call them, admittedly not everyone can hear the likes of Howie due to work so maybe this gives them an opportunity--but it's too bad that 'RKO can't, say,
put out a second HD channel (it IS possible for AM, right, at least during the daytime?) where they could offer re-runs of shows during the week, which would
free up the main signal to do something else.

There's also podcasting which is limited: for example, you can hear The Chump
Line by going to 'RKO's site...
______________

Not possible:

1) WRKO is not broadcasting in HD.

2) There are no second or third channels for HD on AM...only on FM.

Oh, OK--now I know (I figured the former was true but didn't know that there
are no 2nd or 3rd channels on AM). All I knew about HD on AM was that for
now it could only be done during daylight hours.
______________

there's no way to defend weekend re-runs, they suck
