Thank You local media

With the hurricane now some three days past, I just wanted to say Thank You to the local Radio outlets for their great coverage during and after the storm.

I think that the stations that aired the TV coverage did more of a public service than even they know. I have gained a new respect for many stations that before the storm I may not have listened to. Mainly because of my age.

In my day, radio was the key link when there was an emergency, and in all reality it still is.

We can spend out time trash talking about various radio companies, and personalities and who is the best at this or that, but when it came to Hurricane Ike and the effects that many of us have felt, we turned to radio. Often we listened to stations we may not listen to on a regular basis, because we knew they were there, and we needed information, or we just needed to feel regular again,

So I say again Thank You, Thank You, keep up the great work that you do,
