thank you wilk

They did a great job. Of course, one of their own, Kevin, complained this morning that it was not on t.v.. Yeesh your station covers the breaking news of this young year and you complain that t.v. didn't cover it. Congrats, kudos, bravo Nancy Kman and the rest of the WILK staff.

Kevin also ate crow this morning defending his "friend" ex-judge Ciavarella.

the Vopper is gonna be guest hosting this Friday. I wonder if this is a trial balloon to finally say good bye to Kevin. ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

The vopper? Fred Williams? Was he good? Did he admit The Wachovia Arena was one of the best things that ever came to Nepa? I think we would have had it years earlier if he wasn"t such a negative voice in the area.

The one thing Fred had going for him was that politicians and public officials feared him. They feared having their name mentioned on his show. Fred was not afraid to call someone out on something and that's what we're still lacking here in talk radio. Kevin and Nancy aren't controversial, Sue Henry couldn't be controversial if she tried, and Corbett prohibits anyone from being controversial and peppers his show and his callers with constant disclaimers. Fred WAS controversial, would make the phones light up and everywhere you went people would say "Did you hear Fred Williams this morning?" How many times do you hear "Did you hear Kevin & Nancy, or Sue Henry, or Corbett today?"

Sue Henry's "Luzerne County Corruption Museum" today was a masterpiece. She could eat Fred Williams alive, at will.

>>>The one thing Fred had going for him was that politicians and public officials feared him.<<<

Yeah, like kids feared Civarella; like adults feared falling into a pit of sh*t. Things like that. Tell the Big Vopper that his syncophant friends' numbers never did equal his ego.

The thing with the Vop that he went after everyone equally. I really don't recall, and I'm not saying it didn''thappen, Fred ever defending a public official or foster friendships with them the way Kevin has. Fred had his miscue's, the arena for one, but I would rather listen to a talk show where the host is trying to improve his or her community by going after the bad seeds ala Corbett, than Kevin's 2 year role as unofficial defender of a judge. Just my opinion. I think it would be great to have the Vop back on and have him on in the mornings with Nancy Kman. It would definitely make for more entertaining radio. But if the line up stays the same I will continue to enjoy Mike and Mike in the morning.
