so i get a call this afternoon from a helpful listener who reported on an accident. wonderful, thanks. then he says, "'cause I do what you do and I know how it is." ok. i don't REALLY know what that's supposed to mean, but i'm thinking that he works in the business, so I say, "really? where?" it's always cool to meet a contemporary. he says, "i do on air for Jolly Joe Timmer." I didn't mean it, but my reaction was to laugh. it just came out of me...i didn't mean it. and the fact that that was my reaction made me laugh MORE. does that REALLY qualify as the same gig? to the caller (who i'm sure reads this board): thanks for the chuckle, brother! :)

here's one way to look at it...you guys used to be sister stations until 1978 and had the same call letters from 1946-1977 wgpa am and wgpa fm.
 
hey yeah...that's true! LOL ...up until Aug. 1977.

I resent this post. I despise your despicable snide snooty demeanor! This person was nice enough to call you and you laugh at him because you think he works for a small AM station that you percieve as Bush League. First off WZZO trafic is garbage. Metro that does reports for WGPA and other station is much better. This person sincerely wanted to help you out and you have to post on here with a holier than thou attitude! This is very unappreciative and unwarranted. There is no justification for your behavior. Yo should rethink your position and apologize. I demand an apology!
