Thanks Mara Davis, thanks Dave FM

Listening to your last hours. Mara, you're a class act. Rick Caffey, your a class act.
You were the last holdout in a world of radio turned into a cesspool by corporate congolmeration.
You fought an uphill battle, and you held out for 8 years, an oasis in a desert of a radio wasteland. At times you confused us, amazed us, but always entertained us.

Dave FM, and it's predecessor, were a fine operation. Now lost to the memory of radio that was.
Thanks for being part of our lives. You made it better wether you know it or not.

Hopefully we will hear from you again, it may be on a new medium that isn't controlled by the corporate suits, but we will be there to support you and await what is next.

Thanks again, we are sad to see you go.

I couldn't have said it better myself. to ALL the jocks at Dave from Steve to Mara to Margot, Sully, Renee, Yvonne, Greg, Jill and Charles, and all those behind the scenes for making Dave the wonderful station that it was. And to Neil Millman for being who he was and believing. Thank you Rick Caffey for letting it go out in true grace. You should be proud of everyone.

I know I speak for many when I say it will be missed. New artists don't have an outlet here in this market. The venues have lost a valuable asset as well. My favorite station is now just a shadow of itself until the flip.

Sad day, but I have to say I have heard some of the best radio in a long time over the past week or so.

May they all land on their feet, hopefully here in Atlanta. I would love to see a fresh new station in similar style show up here in this market.

Cheers...

No, it's jut not live anymore, after the CHOA telethon. Monday, 10/15 is the reported date for sports talk to start.
