I noticed today that there's a poll on 99x.com..which essentially asks which old 99x show would you like to see make a return to the airwaves. One of them happened to be The Retroplex with Steve Craig...another was Locals Only. So, it got me wondering if Steve making a return to 99x...even if it was syndicated program (not sure how that would work with his current job) was a possibility. Would "the other other C" be willing to bring him back? Would he even want to come back, for that matter?
Would bringing back the 90's era 99x programming be considered a feeble attempt at bringing back the vibe of the station from that time or would it bring back listeners?
I think the music selection is good...though I feel bands like Seether and Paramore are better suited for a hard rock/active rock station like p96..there's quite a few bands I've not heard on 99x yet: Street Sweeper Social Club, The Enemy, The Dead Weather (but maybe I wasn't listening that day when they *were* being played). Then again, I've not had a chance to listen to Xposure at 11pm either.
Since I'm not in the industry, the extent of my 'insider knowledge' comes from here, but it's always good to hear what others think.
