That End "robot" wasn't too bad today... and MUCH better than Lazlo

Had to do quite a bit of driving today and I did something I don't think I've done in the past couple of years: I left the radio on one station and just listened for an extended period of time. That "robot DJ" on The End did pretty well for itself today. About a half-dozen Bob Marley songs in a row, not too many commercials (or so it seemed), some lesser-known songs by better-known bands and none of the unlistenable hyper-current crap. I even found the Jack Johnson selections tolerable.

Much as I like having a host for my radio listening, I gotta say that the robot was 1,000x better than listening to Lazlo and gang talk about bodily functions and whatnot. Gotta figure Lazlo is desperately trying to find a hacker to disable the robot before it takes his job full time.

Side note... I, too, heard "It's Tricky" by Run DMC the other day. It was a pleasant surprise on The End. Reminded me of the original pledge the station made to surprise listeners now and then.

Had a dream about that KNDD "robot" a few nights ago...somebody slipped it a virus and it began to take over Entercom HQ (don't get me wrong, it DID meet with HR first, And HR DID offer grievance forms as they were flying out the windows.)

"The Rock" was reduced to a pebble, The Wolf ran out with their tails between their legs (only stopping to snarl at each other over a chicken bone in the parking garage.) And the Mountain couldn't climb up to the summit of 1100 Olive Way fast enough.

The bloody carnage would have scared Rob Zombie. But when the smoke cleared, birds sang, the sun shined, Almost Live! reunited for several new seasons, JP Patches returned in top health and Seattle radio suddenly sounded good again.....
