It was supposed to come down early 06...but Channel 14 (TBN) has decided not to move their analog off the tower since NTSC will cease in a few years...so they are holding it up (no pun intended!)...also there was an issue with a bird or other animal that is on the endangered list that has a nest in the area where the tower was planned to be falling when the guys were blown...I need to get back with my contacts and see what the latest is...IIRC, Liberman's analog is still on the tower as well (61) and doesnt want to move (only because of the cost of moving the analog to the taller 2000ft tower)
Anyone know how tall this particular tower is? I know a few Houston area base jumps that would purchase it for the right price if it's tall enough for them to play on. Oh wait, how silly of me - they already play on most of the towers in Mo. City for free!

The old Blue Ridge/Dewalt tower is 1400ft to the platform...and base jumping off those things is stupid...one day, someone will get caught on a guy wire or worse, killed..
