THAT "OTHER" BOARD BLOWING SMOKE AGAIN

They continue to boast how they had the 104.5 news first, a certain head honcho broke the story, they claim. If you look back on this board, DtotheJ and Scissors had the scoop before they did. This board is the first with breaking news, that is why this is my board of choice not the "other" one.

Howso? Scissors posted at 9:19 May 16 that he "heard" 104.5 was flipping to Radio 104.5, but posted no concrete evidence. On the "other" board... they posted web information on the night before... May 15.

Anyone can post speculation and rumors... eventually one of them may turn out right. The "other" board had evidence that something may be up... not just "i know someone who knows someone who slept with the receptionist at the front desk who was fired three years ago."

Actually, All Access had it first.

And there are at least two other boards covering radio in the region.

To be fair, I did get the information from another source, but in the heat of the moment, failed to mention it. I was just overcome by another Clear Channel broken promise, is all...

Sorry, did I miss something? What was that broken promise? They flipped. They flipped again. Nobody ever promises to keep a format forever (except maybe Ted Turner when he dedicated CNN).

As I recall, you did mention a "source" without saying what it was. In all fairness, if you get something from a news site you should credit it and provide a link. If your source is a contact you trust, you should say so. If your source is a somebody you know giving you hearsay or information second-hand, then it's a rumor and you label the story as such.
