That Song You Hated ... and Then Loved

What was that one song you absolutely hated, abhorred, despised when it first came out.... yet, later on, maybe even months or years later, you slowly started warming up to it? Every few years a song will come along like that for me.

I have to admit I hated this song but eventually I started really enjoying it: "I Gotta Feelin'" - by the Black Eye Peas.

What's yours?

It didn't wind up in the "loved" category but "Satisfaction" by the Stones would be my contribution. I absolutely hated that song when I first head it in '65 but over the years either the song, or I, have mellowed and I don't immediately hit the preset when it plays.

It hasn't made it to my mp3 player yet though.

I hate Lady GAGA Pokerface, but soon loved it,, same goes with her latest Bad Romance,,, though im still iffy on it.

Also Keisha- Tik Tok,,, couldnt stand it at first,, but its still growing on me,, I dont love it, but I can sit through it.

Also I absolutely hated the Jonas Brothers, but I live with a 17- 13 and 9 yr old girls, so they got me tolerating them..

I have a feeling that I'll begin to love KE$HA, especially now that it's gone international. It's not like I can get away from it, and it's an ok tune so I should eventually start to love it. Anyway.... too tired to think of more to say, and the Electro-Hip Hop and House show is three minutes away, so...... bye.

Empire State of Mind (wouldn't say i love it but I wont mute the player if it comes on)......eh somtimes
Poker face.... during the summer heard it on 5 stations within a 3 min time span with three stations playing it simultaneously
I gotta feeling reminds me of the B52's love shack.Don't ask me why or how.
Obessed...scratch that still hate it.

Justin Timberlake.... I hate everything about his boyband, Now I am a big time fan of Justin Timberlake's solo career .

Two songs come to mind:

I absolutely abhorred "Physical Touch" by Genesis ... now it is kinda enjoyable.

Back in 2005 when Snow Patrol released "Chasing Cars" I hated it. I thought it was too over-the-top and self-important. Now I love that song.

I agree with King,, i hated boy Bands and also used to hate Brittney but as they have matured I like them now,, more so for JT than Brittney,, She is still a little to Childish and....Well... a bad roll model.

How great the song "spotlight" could have been if only Gucci Mane wasn't in it! I'm very disappointed, despite the fact that I have the instrumental I could still use. The only song I think Gucci sounds good in is "break up" with Mario. I like everything about "spotlight", except for Gucci's parts. Unfortunately, that ruins the entire song for me, although I don't mind hearing it on the radio if it means one more uptempo hit to play. I think I posted this in the wrong section, because this is a song will probably be one that turns out to be one I didn't like too much, and then liked even less.

The instrumental itself is cool though.

I HATE N*Suck but when JT went solo, man that was a really good CD. I enjoyed both CDs because they veered clear away from the trashy Orlando boy band sound to a mature R&B sound.

I used to despise disco until I dug past Stayin' Alive and funky music white boy(whatever the hell it's called) and found some very classic soulful and funky dance songs from the 70s.

As for today's stuff, definitely Lady Gaga.

I have to make a correction on something I've said. I said "The only song I think Gucci sounds good in is "break up" with Mario." Well, I haven't heard his album, or any complete albums from him. I'm only judging by the very few songs that have recently been played on mainstream radio, that I've noticed.
