According to a post on the facebook group New England Broadcasting History, comedian Bill Cosby almost bought WRKO.
They have a clip from the Boston Herald American from 1986

The article said according to an article in Channels magazine, Cosby's partner Joseph Zingale was rejected by an FCC law judge. Their company was called Cozzin Communications (Coz as in the first syllable of Cosby, Zin as in Zingale). It had been determined that Zingale had forged the names of his wife and three children on "46 applications for low power TV licenses". It said Zingale owned radio stations in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and White Plains NY. Cosby owned 51 per cent of the partnership and was not charged.
So...hey hey hey, the ol' Cos coulda owned 680
Zingale died in 2014
