YAWN! Springer was better!

Supertalk deadpool. Jan 2008 after Furman's contract is up. Switch to music. Don't know what format...don't care...

I don't kno what you're smoking but maybe you should share it. Yawn? Pete Rose, Tom Browning, Oscar Robertson? And Marvin Lewis who probably has a contract with wlw since they carry the Bengals? Hell even at the end of the show Ken Broo and Denny Jansen were on. I thought it was a star studded lineup. Do you listen to sports radio or just make comments based on five minutes of listening to a format that you don't know?

It sounded like they were haveing a good time when I was listenening. Maybe you were on the wrong channel or something.

He's smoking whatever they're passing around Kenwood Towers. Sorry Scotch, it looks like you've got real competition this time.

I knew I'd get the CC haters out

1) I'm not drunk
2) not smoking anything
3) listening to the whole show
4) WOW emptying the rolodex for the first show...let's talk about ahow #2 or #100 or # whatever.

I just hate re-tread radio. Supertalk would have done better with developing their own new show.

Remember Springer had even bigger stars come out for his first show...Where is he? Counting his money...on his private jet...in Chicago...while everyone with his show is flipping burgers (or Jene Galvin...changing the world...)

Big stars on day 1 do not a show make. Maybe you guys here listen to too many music stations? (That answers the "Did you hear Dusty") questions. The flow just wasn't there. Maybe the flow will get better? Has to....

If you don't like re-tread radio do you like the new direction of WLW becoming a podcast station with replays of Cunningham and McConnel?

listeners want access to podcasts. don't u think, as stations, we'd rather have them listen to podcasts of OUR shows THEY want to hear (on THEIR time) vs. going somewhere else?

I see the format change coming soon...Podcast 700 WLW.. Nothing new from Clear Channel, Re-running old shows from 10 or 20 years ago. :) Maybe instead of Podcast WLW, try developing new entertaining local shows. Save the Podcast radio format for 1360.

Lord Knows I'm not a big Clear channel fan. Worked for 'em once. But not again if I can help it.

BUT....

What I heard this morning actually entertained me. That's my 2 Cents.

that's the whole idea-making more of our stations available to our listeners when they can hear it

No I completely agree with them podcasting their shows, I was doing that before the Ipod. When I called them they Podcast station I was referring to the fact they are airing the podcasts on air instead of original live programming from Boshears and Bubba Bo. Who's next, Scott Sloan?

HATE IT! Waste of air time

While Supertalk FM 96-5 has loaded up with nationally syndicated talk shows, notice what they're really promoting to pull in new listeners -- Andy Furman. That's LIVE and LOCAL, folks.

Yeah, who did Lance have on today? Talk about YAWN!!

lance is going to have to step up his game now that there's actual competition in this market. i have a newbee question: why is lance the golden-child of local talk radio? no one can criticize him without getting their head whacked off. insight, someone?

I didn't get to hear most of Furman's first day because I was doing my OWN show, but I DID get to hear Marty B. on my way home. I could listen to Marty talk about cattle futures in Seattle, so I was entertained for the duration. Don't know if I'll be back any other time, simply because SuperTalk has no other programming. I'm not sure Furman is enough of a draw to make it appointment listening. I LIKE him, but I don't think he's enough for me to give Supertalk a preset.

Ahh, well that explains a lot doesn't it? No wonder you have nothing but bile for Supertalk, you work for the competition. Maybe Andy should just can his shows and podcast them instead? Now that would make GREAT radio.

Seriously, you can work for the competitor and still be objective. Too bad you weren't.

i don't work for a competitor

news flash: podcasts are being used all over america. it's 2007-welcome. get used to it or get over it. U R boring us............

"Appointment Listening"...that sounds like Rush. So I guess for you it would mean choosing between Hannity and Andy.
