That was short lived...

The folks at 102.9 are playing with everyone. They played Smooth Jazz for only about 30 minutes, then they did some Linkin' Park, some other rock music, commercial break (all national), and they are playing all kinds of different music, thus the format is in flux, and they did a great job of fooling people. I got nauseated after about 50 minutes of a crappy mix of music *(after the Smooth Jazz) and moved on.

I have yet to hear that Positive Hit Music on 104.9, but I am listening through the I-Heart app, and they are playing something called "the Beat," and it sounds like one of their HD2 formats, similar in vein to the old KUBE 93.3. Strange to be playing something totally different on air and through the I Heart app.

One gets the feeling that someone at iHeart Seattle is reading this message board to throw everyone off. Sounds suspicious don’t you think.

Only in the Northwest do radio formats change once they find out they have listeners.....

Said of those who trust their apps and don't or cannot tune in the OTA signal. It's still smooth jazz folks as of 6:15 PM PST, and I'm listening to it as I type this. (This is what happens when you trust your smart phone and when it does dumb things.)
