I don't think first run syndication for scripted series is a thing anymore. Not enough of a market.Outside of talk/game/reality programming, does any studio still produce live action TV series for direct to syndication sales? Early US TV was chock full of shows like "Sea Hunt," "Kit Carson," "Annie Oakley," Foreign Intrigue," Abbott and Costello," etc. I'm guessing it's cheaper to buy syndication rights to former network programming and/or talk/game/reality shows than pay for a new syndicated series.
