The 4/11 Reunion Lunch at Cap's is Cancelled

Re: the thread regarding the 4/11 reunion lunch, it's all apparently moot anyway, since Cap sent out an email on Friday 3/6 saying that the restaurant has been closed down. So not only will there be no reunion on 4/11 at Cap's but I think we have probably had our final large-scale radio reunion lunch. And for the record, Cap was kidding about me, Wayne and him "approving" attendees. Search our posts before previous gatherings and you will find that we all repeatedly invited anybody who wanted to come, whether they "are in radio, used to be in radio, or wished they could have been on the radio." The welcome mat was certainly out for all who wanted to be part of the fun, and we enjoyed meeting them and making them a part of a good time.

Anyway, I hope you all who attended enjoyed the reunions we had, and for those of you who never attended one, you missed some good times that likely will never happen again.

Please pass the word to any of your radio friends who may have been thinking of attending.

I know you were...so was he. I just wanted to clarify Cap's verbage on that, not your response Phyllis, in case anybody took him seriously. :)
 
Why not just a change of venue?? There are many food establishments that would be tickled to death to host a large gathering of hungry attendees.

What is it with you and the "final reunion lunch EVER" teases? You said the same thing after the 2nd reunion lunch. Quite the "showman", aren't you?

The most recent radio reunion lunch was as much the "last radio reunion lunch EVER" as KISS's Farewell Tour a nearly decage ago was the "final KISS tour EVER"....."YOU WILL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN.....until the next time."

Cut the crap. You sound ridiculous.
 
What up with Cap's? Closed? I was out of town Friday and didn't see any email. So, if he's closed, can I at least get the hot sausage recipe? And I still hope the Monkee meatball chokes...
 
Thanks for the compliments, kesch. I appreciate it. Cap's place was a special venue where everyone had a connection with that place, the owner and the crowd. All the elements were right at that place to draw a good crowd. Tell ya what, chief. You want another one, YOU put it together. Be my guest. I'm not. We'll be waiting for you to put some actions behind the words out of your big mouth.

To keschjr: You are an ass. No matter how you feel did you know Bob's niece was just killed? How's that make you feel? You make me sick.
 
Bob and Wayne and Cap worked really hard to make those reunions happen and I thank them for a job well done, whether or not they see fit to continue. Personally I don't think a gathering of any size would materialize without it being at Cap's place. I went to one reunion and it was great, but I felt it was in the perfect venue, which is an important element of any promotion. keschjr obviously has not even attended one reunion, yet he makes it his business to make comments on something that as nothing to do with him.

As far as the insensitive and unappreciative keschjr, by his own posted admission, he has never worked in radio, and if you read all of his posts you get the feeling he has nothing to offer this board of any substance, and instead enjoys complaining, insulting radio people, making digs, and trying unsuccessfully to be funny. He wants so badly to be noticed. This board can do without wannabe's who just talk to be talking. He reminds me of a class clown, the guy most people had no use for because they thought the clown was stupid and he wasn't afraid annoy everyone by demonstrating it.
 
keschjr, you have proven you are nothing but a cold insensitive idiot. Since you're nothing but negative, please do us all a favor and disappear from this board and join something like Facebook or Craigslist so you morons of the world can share your frustrations of a simple lonely life together.
 
Lonesome little trolls like keschjr have no life so they thrive on attention, hiding behind a brave anonymous identity. Ignore him until he gets so frustrated that his rants will get him kicked off the board. He's already being watched.
 
I would LOVE to see a little roast/or some type of get together dedicated to Humble. I can only imagine all the stories everyone could tell. Its been a hard year so far for everyone eh? I'm so sorry for everyones troubles. When you are down and out the only way you can go is up. bless all of ya'll
