The 7pm fight.

It would appear that effective Next week, the 7pm timeslot will be entertainment news galore.

Global will have Entertainment Tonight Canada,
CTV will have e talk daily,
The new SUN TV(aka Toronto 1) is airing Inside Jam, and...isn't City TV going to air Star Daily?
WOW! That's an awful lot of competition for the average entertainment news viewer...I wonder who will win the better ratings, and who will be the first to cancel, and try other programming...Honestly,
is there room for all those shows to air on the same timeslot...and still get good ratings?
(note: focus is mainly on the Toronto market, but other markets may apply)

Which one will I watch? None of the above. I have no use for these fluff shows about who Brittany is marrying this week and so forth.

At 7 PM, I'll be watching King of the Hill reruns on WJBK.

Hmmm...If more people out there were using antenna instead of cable or sattlelite, (expecially those protesting outrageous cable&sattlelite rates) I'd feel sorry for their 7pm choices...but that number is low anyway. (I think?)

Also, I am corrected. 7pm on City TV will continue to be Sex in the city reruns (at least in Toronto)...wether or not that's a good thing or not, is all a matter of opinion, respectfully.
______________

If "Entertainment Tonight: Canada" does not become a big hit or very profitable, could Global replace it with the U.S. version??

U.S. version airs at 7:30. If anything, the return of train 48 would be a better bet for 7pm in the event of ET Canada failing.
______________

Thanks!

I thought that the U.S. version of "Entertainment Tonight" had left Canadian TV when Global launched the Canadian version.
