The 92nd most important talk show host in America

Dan York is so amazing. I tuned in today and he was talking about legislative rules. It was some stuff about a bill and he started reading it. It was unlistenable (is that a word?). It was all this nonsense about House rules and legislation. . .so incredibly BORING. Just BORING. The guy is a total BORE. His show sounds like a hum when he is not shouting. Mr. York, I don't care you are sick and working at 50%, we have problems of our own. I went to XM and listened to 70's at 7.
 
I thought his program was very informative today. I learned a lot about legis. rules that I didn't quite understand before.

See, what's boring for one person is very interesting to another.
 
Best part about Dan's show today was him talking about how it's a perfect night for Meatloaf. We also learned that he's technologically retarded. During a discussion about Cox versus Verizon FIOS, he was totally clueless about weather a 50 Megs per second download speed is good or not. He pretty much hung up on the caller and told him to stop the tecnical jargon. Then Matt asked him what kind of cable connection he has going into his HDTV. Is it regular coax or is it an HDMI connection? Once again... Dan was clueless. He had no idea.

How does that Bumper go at the beginning of Dan's show? Something about "If you arn't the smartest guy in the neighborhood, just listen to Dan Yorke and you will be"

hahahaha. Now I'll laugh more than ever whenever I hear that. Talk about Meatloaf some more ya Maroon. Today you proved that you can read off a sheet of paper and that you barely know how to connect your TV to get a picture.

Good God.... thank your lucky stars that HJJ doesn't try.
 
What the hell does knowing how FIOS works or being up to snuff on download speeds or knowing coax vs HDMI have to do with his ability as a talk show host? Do you think he has to be up to date on technical jargon? Now you're sounding like these reps at Circuit City who look at you like you're an alien if you ask a simple question about a PC or TV.

And which meatloaf are we talking about? Bat outta hell or ground round?

Meatloaf the food to answer your question. Secondly..... Dan's busy asking people what's better. Cox or Verizon FIOS? Then when he finally gets a guy on the phone who wants to answer his question, Dan cuts him off claiming that the explanation is to technically advanced!!! What the F? Is this indicative of a good talk show host? Ask the public a question and then hang up on the guy who tries to answer your question! What kind of jackass move is that? Dan treats callers like pieces of crap. Some days it gets to me. Maybe it's just the rain.

Sky, you are just jealous that Dan has a paying gig in the industry and you are on the outside looking in. Even I who is technologically savvy found the caller getting way too deep for the common folk-I happened to be with my dad at the time, who does have Fios and all he cares about is how different and clearer the picture is vs Cox. Keep in mind...the average listener has a 4th-5th grade education...not the callers, the listeners and that is who Dan is hired to speak to. The meatloaf reference is a perfect common ground, something for everyone piece to talk about, sorry if you missed on it.

So every time I have an opinion I must be jealous? Is that your warped logic? Interesting. You'll defend that place till your death no matter what they do, so I've learned not to take you to seriously. Now you think the average listener has a 4th or 5th Grade education? LOL. The average AMERICAN has a 4-5th grade education, so why would a listener or audience be any different. You don't believe me, go check out census data. I don't defend that place to the death....found Tuesday's Buddy show to be quite a bunch of over talking on the mayor's part when speaking w/ PJ from PPAC, am still scratching my head on a lot of what is going on in the morning w/ JD, why there isn't a live jock on Pro-FM, why the Score is still sports talk if they are losing to WEEI as badly as has been hinted....I just don't come here every time that I have a question about stuff and hit the dump button.
I have always found your opinion to be very whiny and looking to have things as they were 10-15 years ago; but very few things in this world are, yet you hope that somehow Marty McFly will roar in with the Deloreon and make everything the way it was...Not gonna happen. It also sounds most of the times that you have some serious sour grapes....that is my opinion on how you come off. If I seem like I defend the Trail, so be it....

No sour grapes here. Not even with you. Some days I just have strong opinions. Other days I'm an absolute kitty cat. I bet you would like me if you actually knew me.
 
Well I'm glad you both exhausted each other and Skynet74 got his litter box changed. Now in the future why don't you both accept that you probably both got out of radio because you chose to and neither of you will be so defensive. Like they say you left early and beat the rush.
