But I have a question about the Valli version. What's the deal with should have told her that he can't linger, there's a wedding band on his finger? Was she blind? Was some idiot living his life through young bands? What's the deal there? Kind of like Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me"... she's young and she loves to be young. How does she know what it's like to be older? What a rip off deal those kids got back in the day, huh?
