The allen Hunt Show

Last Sunday night at six o'clock I changed my radio to WSB to listen to the Allen Hunt Show,and some ficial show was on,at seven I went back and Allen Hunt was on,and he said on July 1,the show will move to 3pm-5pm on Sunday afternoons,I'am watching Nascar or listening to it on whatever station I can pick it up on.

I didn't know it was still on the air. Always seemed an odd fit for WSB, sort of like when they ran Rick & Bubba on Sunday afternoon.

In all honesty: almost no one is listening to radio, especially talk radio, on the weekends, even more on a Sunday Evening.

IMHO Mr. Hunt has no credibility, having forcefully come on the scene a number of years ago, self-proclaiming himself "The Pastor of the Airwaves." Then he walks away from his United Methodist church with no explanation as to why ("It is my own personal decision" was the response he gave to those congregants who asked for his reason -- after they had provided him with some very nice perks.) He makes a much touted conversion to Catholicism, performs idiotic rants on the air (refers to THEME FOR THE COMMON MAN as the theme from 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY and doesn't see the significance of its use at a public memorial service) in favor of some very questionable moral positions. Have no clue as to why WSB is bringing him back unless it is to simply run out the string on any contract they have with him, then be done with it. Hopefully it will be gone by the summer.

A confused person whose convictions I seriously question. Agreed with all that Mr Rafone said -- particularly his bizarre conversion from Methodist PASTOR (not simply a congregant) to Catholic layman -- a fairly radical conversion with no explanation whatsoever? Sorry, Allen, but you don't get a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card when it was your (supposed) PASTORAL CALLING that you hung your media hat on. Another issue, however, that has remained consistent from Methodist Allen across to Catholic Allen is his rabidly vocal dislike of Mormons. I'm not one myself, but I have a several friends who are, and it's seriously disturbing that a major radio station would allow anyone who (again) hangs his hat on Christianity and who uses the term "forgiveness" like loose change to use their allotted frequency as a blitzkrieg against a particular denomination he clearly has a deep and personal hatred for.

Oh well...along with putting Herman Cain on MORNING DRIVE (putting commuters in comas...bad for road safety, but probably good for Capt Herb's ratings), having Hunt on the air shows that something is SERIOUSLY OFF with WSB's programmers.
