Hats off to DAN YORKE and producer MATT ALLEN. They, (with the help of JIM HUMMEL ABC6) have put an end to the Mollis machine and choke hold of power in NORTH PROVIDENCE.

Dan was RELENTLESS in exposing criminal activity of Democrat John Sisto of North Providence, who was running against Charles Lombardi. for Mayor.

Afternoon after Afternoon, Yorke pounded the table demanding the people of North Providence WAKE UP!
THEY DID!
With the help of his faithful side kick MATT ALLEN, they made it COUNT!!
They helped the people of North Providence, for that matter , the people of Rhode Island.
Yorke and Hummel TURNED an election against a corrupt, arrogant machine.
The best talk radio in 10 years on these air waves HANDS DOWN! :) :) :)RKE

Sisto changing the words of B-I-N-G-O to fit his name. Do they really think it adds to their credability??

I hope Dan & Matty use the patented 'Archie Bunker' toilet bowl flushing sfx. And get rid of that lame piece
of junk (song) once & for all!
 
Good for Dan. But I still miss the days when every host didn't feel the need to act like "The Terminator". Just my preference. There is no such thing as FUN Radio in this state. Drama is all I see. Through some kind of miracle I wish Larry Glick would come to town.

I'm not really involved in radio anymore, however, what a splendid job Dan and Matty did !
I do not believe Dan has ever done anything like that before. I can tell you all this; when I was in North Providence this week , EVRYWHERE I went, Dan's show was on.
Crusader talk radio . In a passionate place like Rhode Island, it's a winner. Congrats Dan!

Being a voter in North Providence who is currently living in Cranston but will be motving in a month or two to Johnston who am I going to Bribe now that Sisto is out.

For the record I did not vote in North Providence Yesterday. I am in Cranston temporarily but am trying to get back to NP or Johnston in the Centerdale area.

Cudos to Dan.I did nt know what was going on.

By the way, I'm surprised no one has picked up on or mentioned the fact that the Republican mayoral candidate in North Providence is ex-Providence air personality Billy Goodman (but I'm sure Holland knew that).

Everyone seems impressed with Dan. I may have impressed too if I hadn't stopped listening to the guy because he seemed like such a jerkoff. As it stands I didn't hear a thing.
 
can someone please tell me whats going on? why is yorke getting this credit. i thought i heard depetro talking about this as well, not to mention the channel 6 guy actually breaking it. please be aware i'm not fans of either but am just curious if this is a drive to elevate yorke over depetro or if he actuallly did something more ???

He NEVER let up and DAN YORKE IS the reason a corrupt Political machine was beaten
in North Providence.

I don't live in North Providence and flipped anytime it was discussed. It would seem Ch6 deserves credit for this one based on what I have read.

I have not been kind to Yorke, but, I was working in North Prov last week. Everywhere I went locals were talking about Brown Bags Bobby Ricci, Leo the Tapes, and so forth. And radios were on Wpro.

I watched and listened to both. Sisto and his involvement with Sec of State Mollis made it a State Wide issue. Walter.

there will be competition in PM drive for talk by the end of 2007. I tried to listen to that guy Yorke but he is way to slow and boring.
Someone will put on a new show(maybe just run Howie Carr from RKO). There is no way anyone listens to York by choice, it is all by default(nothing else to listen to). I think he is the most over rated host I have ever heard. I am not saying Severin and Howie are just better, they are MUCH MUCH better. The only amazing thing about york is that he is on in PM drive.

When it comers to ratings, Yorke would get his azz handed to him on a platter in most other cities. There is nothing creative going on in that head. Fortunately for Dan none of the competition has anything creative going on in their heads either. So you are right. As I've also said..... Dan wins by default.

Certain People in the media will comment on this board being a bitchfest. But those same media folk think it's Ok to air the bitchfest on the radio every single day. It's very hypocritical. As sickening as it can be to read constant complaints here, it's really no better to have to listen to them for four hours a day.
