THE ANNOUNCEMENT BY ED SCHULTZ

The obese Ed Schultz asked all listeners to tune into his message board this evening
for an update on the KLSD situation: And the answer is:

Did the station get the proper promotion ?
Did the station have a promotional budget ?
Did the staion have dead air, double audio feeds and a dedicated sales
staff....What about weekend programs ? The more I find out
about San Diego the more I realize we never had a chance.

I appreciate all the out pouring of support, but unless the station and
owners address this no format will work and billing with never reach
the expected performance by corporate.

-------------------------

Ed needs to lose some weight.. klsd should be grateful that they were subsidized for the
past few years (welfare) And it's time to move on...

I kinda wish there would have been some substance in this thread. Instead, all it consists of is cheap shots and insults on your part. Classy, really classy.

Agreed, I think we should only let the homely and overweight, but not obese, Randi Rhodes voice the cheap shots and insults.

There is a pattern here. In Ogden Nash's words, "The song of canaries never varies, and when they're moulting, they're very revolting."

Randi Rhodes obese? Not at all. She is a shapely, foxy, brainy lady who is right virtually 100 % of the time. Limbaugh is CORPULENT and GROTESQUE: he avoided the Vietnam War draft because of a zit on his enormous coruplent rear end, and he has the nerve to criticize actual fighting men and women. Truly you could find no better spokesman for the right than the grotesquely porcine, self indulgently bloated Limbaugh.

But seriously, there is a pattern here. And there is help available. Life clean and sober is a wonderful thing. There are many fine and successful recovery programs available. Get help.

Is 1360 still on the air or not? Let us know. As for these questions they are important but somewhat superfluous, considering that Air America simply doesn't sell well to conservative listeners, and went bankrupt. The following has been said over and over on this board and elsewhere.

You've got to find other progressive hosts that appeal to conservatives, not like Randi Rhodes who just abruptly cuts people off who she disagrees with.

Listen to Jay Diamond, Alan Colmes, Doug Basham, Lydia Cornell, Laura Flanders, Carl Jeffers, Bob Brinker, Dave Ross, Jay Marvin, and Peter B. Collins and how they engage their listeners in intelligent debate, even if it becomes a heated argument. That's quality programming that Air America has trouble with. From their lineup I would only take Thom Hartmann, Laura Flanders, and Lionel, none of the others, even if they paid me off. They will never succeed until they hire quality hosts who will be respected by, and listened to, by conservatives. Ed Schultz and Alan Colmes get ratings in red markets in red markets because they know this.

I guess Randi is alright, if you go for that Tipper Gore "I wanted to be an Earth mama but couldn't find Birks in my size" sort of look. But "foxy"? Hey dude, welcome back from 1977. Did ya pick up a case of Billy Beer while you were there?

Might I remind everyone that, quoting the National Lampoon Radio Hour, "You don't have to look at pictures on the radio." And discussions of Body Mass Index, though fascinating (yawn) are not germane to the topic of talk radio. C'mon, aren't we all past Junior High here?

Well no - would we waste time discussing "radio" of all things, if we have moved past junior high? Most normal people barely listen to radio, let alone think there's anything worth discussing about it.

Sounds like you got your new monthly shipment of sour balls, Bob! ;D

Hey Mr Radio Diary: You prove in each post what a frigging moron you are.
BTW I met Ed at a radio convention a few years ago, you would never say
that to his face he'd wipe the floor with you.

"Most normal people barely listen"...is that an actual scientific study?

And as for the personal attacks.....c'mon......if that's all you've got you haven't got much!!
