"The Announcer's Test", aka: "One hen, two ducks, three squawking geese"
When Dick Summer was on WBZ-Boston in the 60's, he'd run a recorded version of "The Announcer's Test" every now and then, and had it labeled(I believe) as the secret password of Irving II, a super-venus flytrap
plant. The script for this I found on line here:
http://cheesecakeandfriends.com/Troop1440/songs/OneHenTwoDucks.htm
My question to you is, can someone provide some true insight into the background of this "test", as it, who used it and was it given to would-be announcers and newscasters to be read "cold"or what?
