The AP has now discovered the AAR scandal

The NY Times story seems to have broken the silence of the MSM on the AAR Scandal.
Note that the AP story has a correct quotation of Al Franken's remarks, unlike the New York Times story (excerpt):

Investigators probe New York community center loan to Air America Radio

NEW YORK (AP) - State and city officials are investigating how $875,000 from a community center funded largely by government grants and contracts wound up in the coffers of Air America, the liberal radio network.

A spokesman for Attorney General Eliot Spitzer said his office has opened a probe into the financial dealings of the Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club, which runs programs for poor children and senior citizens.

The center and officials at Air America Radio have acknowledged that at about the time of the network's founding in early 2004, the club made a series of loans to a company called Progress Media, which was then Air America's parent company.

Both entities have said the payments were arranged by Air America co-founder Evan Cohen, who, at the time, also was a development director at Gloria Wise.

Cohen's involvement with Air America was severed in May 2004 amid confusion surrounding the network's finances just a month after it went on the air. A new corporation, Piquant LLC, purchased the assets of Progress Media later that spring.

The audio (mp3) of the August 8 Franken show can be found here:

http://www.airamericaplace.com/archive.php?mode=show&id=5

The download is 25.9 Mb and is 1:53:33 in length. The discussion of the "loans"
begins at about 1:18:20 and runs less than 5 minutes.

Listen for the "...which I imagine it was..." (omitted from the NYT story) right after Franken said "I don't know if it was used for operations" and the actual word "robbing" instead of the word "borowing" used in the NYT story.

Posting the same thing over and over again is not really influencing anyone, you know.

Alright already, we get the message. And we don't care. Talk about beating a dead horse!

The Liberal Talk Radio Update</P>

This guy is hoping repeating it might shut down the only national opposition there is currently to the right wing viral infection that has invaded the radio body.
It will probably work as well as exposing Rush Limbaugh's DRUG ADDICTION and ILLEGAL possession of prescription drugs and as well as the exposition of Bill O'Reilly's SEX scandal with his producer. Remember the Loofer sponge.

They are still on and I don't the investor's wrong doing, if true , will affect, Stephanie Miller, Al Franken, Ed Shultz, Randy Rhodes and the others.
It appears Air America is getting more popular as Bush and his minions are getting less popular and the American body count goes up in Iraq.

At least this guy is advertising Air America with every post.

Ignore Him and He'll Go Away

Stephanie Miller and Ed Schultz do not work for Air America Radio and have no connection with Air America Radio.

Everybody here knows Air America Radio. Name recognition is not their problem.

Sorry but you guys are birds of a feather. You dish dirt about Rush. He dishes dirt about AAR. Neither of you lets facts get in the way of a good story. It's all about politics and whose ox is being gored. It has nothing to do with radio.
