Happy to announce that I'm already spreading the word about this new radio station, through word of mouth. I've also created some catchy ads too. Passing them out all over the place. Have some of the building money raised already. I'm going to eventually set up a web site and stream for the radio station. This is something I believe in. I want to see this through, to the finish line. Yes I know that the modern technology will be beneficial, if I utilize it. Not going to be left behind. Plan on using those new gadgets and resources to help advance my new presentation. Want to have success once I sign on.
Concerning my content, I'm already committed to doing a full time Contemporary Christian musical format for my hometown. Since we don't already have something like that here, it makes perfect sense for me to do it. Country and Urban are all over the place. We don't need any new stations like that.
To make this long story short, we have around 20 radio stations that do some form of an Urban program here, during an average week. We have at least 6 country stations that cover Selma real well. Our Christian radio sector consists of Moody Radio, AFR and WLBF Montgomery. They tend to talk more and play little to no music. I want to flip that and do more music with less talk. Christian pop is very popular, from my research. I want to bring this exciting and popular style to our local radio dial. Hence the reason why I wanted to pursue this LPFM radio station.
I still believe a Christian pop based radio station will be a potential goldmine, in an underformatted city like mine.

P.S. One other thing I needed to say. My hometown needs this radio station for the following reason. I want to help revive this city and bring it back from the dead. When a community is experiencing crime, drug, violence and job loss issues, then it's time to bring a much needed jolt to the local radio dial. I want to use this new LPFM radio station to help put a dent in those issues I spoke of.
