The article that completely changed my air shift

It changed not only my air shift, but my whole day in general. It's by Thomas Watson and describes with excellent support just how easy it is to take God's name in vain even with the best of intentions. If I ever got into management, I'd have this in the training manual of any Christian oriented station.

It should be up in recording studios too.;)

It's here.

I appreciate the sentiment of the article.

But Yeah, I dozed off about a paragraph and a half into this.

I'm a programmer. But I'm also right-brained and this numbed me quick. This needs to be re-written so the EXTREMELY right-brained people on my staff can follow it.

Honestly, though. We can avoid having to read it at all if we just obey the greatest commandment.

When they start quoting out of King James, they lose me. I suspect it might have come from one of those "King James Only" websites.

Awesome, Mark!
Our K-Love and Air1 Radio Network's founder was a big proponent of teaching everyone about that. I actally used the Lord's name in vain in my job interview with Bob Anthony. ;D FOrtunately, he didn't hold it against me! I really didn't udnertand what using His name in vain was, back then.

But the hardest thing is when you've got a winner on the phone and all they can say is OMG! I just want to say, "Excuse me, will you please say something that I won't get fired for!?"

Fortunately, we can edit pretty quickly with VoxPro and fix it if they do say that. I don't even let O My GOSH get on the air. I dont' see anything wrong iwth it...but with millions of listeners... there are bound to be complaints if even that got on the air!
