The Attack Machine fired from WYDE

Three months on the air and already fired! What's going on over there at Crawford?

I was wondering that yesterday. What did they do? They had to [SELF-EDIT] up bigtime to get the boot just as they were kinda beginning to catch on.

Oh, well, it's back to listening to Tom Joyner in the mornings, I guess.

I would imagine it would be due to how they fit the station or lack of. They were liberals on a conservative Christian based station, it was bound to not work out. From their web site it appears they have taken it fairly well and have acknowledged that it is probably for the best. I don't know if they will show back up in Birmingham radio, but if they did WAPI would be a possible fit. Time will tell.

Liberals? Did you ever actually listen to their show? They were lots of things, but liberal wasn't one of them.

They barely even got a chance, IMO. I guess Crawford is content to have an FM talker with 3 shows and 60% replays on the schedule. Anybody care to bet on when they give up and go all-paid preaching 24/7?

They were liberal versus every other show on the station. They did not fit the conservative, Christian mold.

It's going to be talk for now. I wouldn't bet on preaching 24/7 on this frequency. There are other formats that could be done before that is ever an option. But for now, from where I sit, I don't see a change coming.

The only time replays are generally on is during what are typically low listened to times in the evening and overnights. Of course right now, with the station being down one show...the replays increase. National syndicated shows don't fit the Crawford plan for advertising...replays make more sense. It enables people to tune in that might have missed something earlier in the day and also serves as a bonus to advertisers.

The Source was around before the Attack Machine. It will still be around after them as long as advertisers and listeners support the station.
