The Band Perry - If I Die Young

Are many AC's on this one? The AC station I mention in the other thread, WSPA has been pushing it hard, spinning it 30x+ a week for about a month now. I could have sworn it was Colbie Caillat at first since I don't really listen to country (they play the pop mix).

Seems like it could have potential on AC.

I haven't come across any AC station playing it besides WSPA. I just hope KVIL/Dallas-Ft. Worth, KMGL/Oklahoma City, KODA/Houston, or any other AC stations doesn't play it.

I have to hear it multiple times a day and I find it depressing and irritating also, but the sound seems like it would fit the format. I wonder what these AC's that promote "feel good favorites" are going to say now? ::)

Recently this song showed up in the 1-6AM part hours of my favorite station, KMGL/Oklahoma City.

Right now, it's chart position for KMGL is 422 via yes.com. I haven't been staying up through the mid-night lately like I used to a few weeks ago and I haven't been checking the yes.com playlist lately for the early morning hours of KMGL since I've been busy. I remember KMGL start playing this song about a week ago, but it looks like it's barely spinning at all and it's constraint within their 1-6AM part hours.

ClearChannel's KOST/Los Angeles, a very popular and good AC station, also have it spinning hard.

I haven't been keeping up with CC's AC stations lately, but I don't think this song is released into the Premium Choice playlist yet.

Hmm... this song is slowly crossing into KMGL's regular playlist. I always thought that it will stay constraint in the 12-6 AM part hours, but I start hearing it at 7 AM a few days ago and recently I heard it at 11 AM too. It seems like that song is climbing up slowly on the chart for KMGL. It keeps falling in and out of the top 100 on the yes.com playlist for KMGL.

The Band Perry is from the Jackson area, so the AC here is giving it a good amount of spins.

CC's KOST/Los Angeles all the way across the nation from the west coast also have it spinning hard and Renda's KMGL/Oklahoma City from the midwest slowly have it spinning hard. Oh well, guess what, it's going to top out on the billboard chart for the whole nation. I also heard it on the Delilah's show the other day, so it's also been added to the Delilah's playlist, though it doesn't come up a lot.

Funny that you mentioned that The Band Perry is from the Jackson area. Surprise me that Renda's AC WEJZ/Jacksonville isn't playing it all while it's sister AC KMGL/Oklahoma City is spinning it hard slowly.

CBS's AC KVIL/Dallas-Ft. Worth recently had this song spinning hard. Citadel's Hot AC KYIS/Oklahoma City also have this song spinning hard as well. Oh well it's a widespread hit for AC, Hot AC, and Country stations across the nation, probably for the next decade or so. The song itself doesn't sound bad at all even it's country, just the horrible lyrics. I usually don't pay attention to lyrics when I listen to music, but sometimes I do.
