Could this work in Memphis? I believe two or three stations could benefit a ratings boost with this. Too bad you don't have the club scene for this in the city like you did in the nineties.

From radioandrecords.com
KPBR in Billings, MT has launched 105.9 The Bar, a Country and Classic Rock hybrid. Music will encompass "the best parts of your neighborhood bar".

Living out in Midland/Odessa, Texas, we had a station EXACTLY like that (sometime around '92 or so) Texas 102. It did pretty well right out of the box, but I think that the novelty wore off after a while. They finally flipped to straight up Classic Rock after about 5-7 years. (KFZX, Clear Channel, Midland/Odessa)

You might want to keep an eye on KKND in New Orleans. They just switched from Alternative to "Rockin' Country" with a mix of male appealing country and classic rock. It's an interesting twist.

102.9 in Nashville used to be one of these, as Rockin' Country 102.9... and then later Moo 102.9, WSM-FM (The Wolf) is somewhat like it now, but not as much classic rock<P ID="signature">______________

There used to be a station in Biloxi-Gulfport a number of years back that played classic rock and country. Didn't stay around too long. Not sure if Memphis would be the place to do it, but I could see it working in certain markets.
