It should be K-Hits. But...Jet has made some odd programming changes. I heard a song the other day(maybe it was "The World I Know" by Collective Soul) and it made me double check the frequency.
The Beat definitely leans rhythmic, and does a good job with that. Corbin is getting better at programming that format, even though he's a rock guy.
I'm not sure what K-Hits is...are they straight CHR? A CHR/HotAC hybrid? They need to figure out what they want to do and stick with it. I don't understand what they're trying to do by throwing in mid 90's alt rock recurrents. They seem to be going nuts trying to figure out how to beat The Beat...even though the books show they're consistently ahead of them in most dayparts.
A big problem is mornings. Bringing in Billy Madison has been a failure, though no one there (except maybe Jet, since I hear he can't stand the guy and that hire didn't happen on his watch) will admit it. Mornings at K-Hits went from #1 in Scotty Wylde's last book there to...what...#4? Not good. And it's never good when your morning talent trashes your PD on air.
K-Hits has the history and the talent to be completely killing The Beat. It's just not happening.
