Sorry about tooting my own horn on the topic...

But I wished to let you folks know before it hits all access, I have locked up midwestern flamethrower WZFG-AM 1100 Doing overnights. and It's sister KEGK-FM.

This station is owned by Scott Hennen (Hannety fill in) and sports a 50kw Directional, and a flea power 500w ND nights.

More later as it develops.

And a tip of the fez to The Beave. We'll ask KFNX if they'll cut audio a couple hours overnight so we can catch you on the skywave. Let us know when it's snowing where you are.

With WTAM and Grand Junction on the air, the 440 watts of KZFG are not likely going to reach Phoenix.

First of all - thanks folks... I almost had 2nd degree burns from being on the beach.

Doc:
We'll get tha snow sometime between October 27th and Nov 25th

Gringo: WZFG if you please...

Doc again:
I honestly do not believe the Day Directional will come any where close - unless someone forgets to go to night pattern, and then again that is pushing it - with the bias to the West and slightly North - Maybe all of Montana and southern Manatoba/Saskatchewan, Canada if run at 50kw at night (illigally)... At flea power: (500w) 60 dbu @ 25 miles ND from the Dilworth, MN transmitter - which is located about 20 miles from the station.

Well then the Nurse will just have to shoe up the '76 Gremlin with a pair of snowtires and we'll drive up there! Maybe if we're lucky Howard & Bill wil join us and we can all dine at your local Sizzler!

Can I send a QSL? Even though the signal won't get here?

Good job, and good luck, I wish you the best, you are a good guy.

Streaming?

Akbar, you got room in the gremlin boot for me?

Aw hell, just tell me when you are going, I'll fly there and meet ya.

Doc,
No sizzler here... several really good steakhouses and locally owned fine dining establishments.

Legend: www.am1100.tv and www.theeagle.tv - the Eagle is live already, The Flag should be live on the 11th or 12th of August.

The overnights split sat programming and news til 3am MST.

Congrats, Beave. When do you start? Let me know so I can check your show out via the web.

Btw, I have some connections and will see if I can't get a Sizzler built in town. Where else is Aunt Edna going to eat when she comes for a visit? ;D

KOHS,

I hate to burst your bubble.. I start this week learning the new version of Mediatouch, which is a bit different than the other audio servers. the start date is supposedly the 11th, with some of the many tasks doing voice tracking/producing on both stations. In about 2 months or so things are being discussed for a live situation - It's still in the works... A live will happen when they get the operations and programming sorted out. (in 60 days or so)

The news segments sound like colon blow already... Doc should be able to recognize it.

We still have A Denny's here - 10% discount if she is over 65 and still breathing. :p

That back seat is a bit cramped, but you're more than welcome to join us. Nurse Jeff wants to invite Lovable One, too. That way the humble pie will be on the house!

Nurse Jeff

Tell the Dr. that the humble pie tastes quite bitter the longer it sits. I look forward to seeing the noble DR. squinch up his face with each bite. By the way the trip to Flagstaff will be fun. I've never ridden in a gremilin though I once had a nash rambler. I guess they're similar. The DR. can drop off audition tapes.

Luvable One -

Flagstaff?? We're goin' all the way to the Freezer Belt to check out The Beave on 11~Hundred. Northern Minnesota and North Dakota get chilly come October. Be sure to bring your thermal undies as the Gremlin's heater just barely covers the front seat occupants and you're ridin' in the back.

Dr Akbar

ps - we've been waiting almost two years for that humble pie...what's taking you guys so long??

Beave, remember Loveable Jay, Legend City, and Dr. Akbar as the Gilbert, Larry and Eddie of the Phoenix Board. Don't forget to come back and visit the old neighborhood!

Best of luck, my man. Your enthusiasm in the midst of these jaded hams, is delightful.

I'm starting up a new press in Fargo the week of aug 18th, I hope there will be a chance to stop in.
Is this the station group with the big 'ol neon sign?

Sam,

You would oogle at the if you saw this place... It is totally state of the art.
Both stations are Digital to the STL. 3 floors of circa 2008 equipment that would make most stations jealous. I consider myself very lucky to be a part of it.

As we go live at 6am Monday (Phoenix time) Sen. John McCain will be live with Scott Hennen. (hint to the talk stations)

Sam.. I need a sample hour of one of Duke's shows... They don't believe that the show is as it was... Can you help? (Dern Conservitives) ;)

Tom - no neon yet... Look downtown in between 1st and NP avenue on Broadway, on the west side of the road.

The "Eagle's nest" is ready to fly on the inside, still there is some construction on the outside.

I'm very excited about all of this. And proud to be chosen to be there.

LAYDEEZZZ AND GENTLEMEN...

Thanks for the support and I just wished to tell you that as 6 am Central WZFG-AM
1100 is stunting at 50kw.

I haven't checked the stream but it sounds better than I expected an AM could sound.

I hope you really didn't hit the 50 gallons until 6:15 CT, based on
the August sunrise/sunset times in the FCC AM Query. Or even
later, if "critical hours" comes in to play in the morning.

Remembering past indiscretions of a couple of "illegal power aliens"
in the PHX market... ;D

everything is on a timer.. I'm sure it was 6:15A I found out that the transmitters were turned on at 10p CST and the stunting started.

I just do the paperwork... I leave the computer things to the geeks. 8)
