The Bert Show syndicating?

Not all shows have the desire to syndicate. Bert probably already makes oodles of money (I've heard upwards of 7 figures a year). Syndication usually means more work, traveling to places on the weekend to support affiliate promotions, taking a lot of the localization away from your flagship show, and for not always a lot in return. He may just feel he's perfectly comfortable where he is and doesn't need world domination.

I think Cumulus also is more concerned about building "The Bert Show" as a local brand than syndicating. A brand that is about to gain a little more exposure thanks to 99.7. I loved Melissa Carter's comment this morning that yes, Radio With a Twist will still be heard, and joked it should go over very well in smaller towns that can now pick up Q100. ;D

Ah. True. But I would think Bert would want to expand the show as much as possible, like his old mentor (I guess he was a mentor...) Kidd Kraddick. Kraddick makes millions now that he owns his show. Why wouldn't Bert want to expand the brand to the rest of the country and make his bank account explode?

I think the Bert Show is one of the few local CHR shows good enough to work in syndication.
