Putting all your friends and enemies aside (and you're not fooling anyone, we know when you vote for yourself). Who are the best sounding jocks in the valley. Forget the format. Who sounds the best.

My list of the worse: Bobby Koch is terrible. As is Craig Stevens. Mike Mittman is very hard to listen to and Chris Line and Kat Kid are bad too.

No flames or anything. Just backing up opinions. Why do you think Bobby Koch is terrible? I always placed him in the "best LV jocks" category.

Koch is awful. Weak voice. No personality. Time and temp 10 times an hour and reads stuff from the wire. Awful. Mittman is a yucker and never says anything but the artist and song title. Stevens is too hyper for me. If you're looking for the best my votes go to Brian Mckay and Dave Donovan on Soft Rock and Stosh on Hawk. Laura St. James at B104 and Chirsty O'Brian are nice to listen to but don't deviate much from the script.

the best jocks in the lehigh valley?

I really cant say any are "best" no one comes to the Lehigh Valley that is high caliber, its not like Philadelphia or New York, Chicago, etc.

> Koch is awful. Weak voice.

I can see where you're coming from, but his voice can be looked at subjectively. What some may consider weak, to me sounds like a very smooth talking, soulful voice.

I worked with Bobby in the past. I'll be honest that I haven't listened to him much on WEST. In the past, he had a lot of freedom with what he could say and play, but perhaps WEST has a tighter leash on him so that he conforms to the "Light and Easy" format and that lessens his personality. But in the past, there were days he acted like a club DJ on-air and sounded great. I'll have to try to listen more to WEST. I wish they streamed. I can hardly pick up their signal where I live.

I would agree. As far as I know, there are only a few Valley jocks who worked in the Philly market and they only work weekends or do fill-in here in the Valley. Both Kevin Moore and Dave Donovan at Soft Rock worked in Philly many years ago. Both are good guys who love the business but have other full-time jobs.Jeff Dean, who works at WGPA, is a local legend who also just works weekends. All of them sound better than most of the fulltimers working now!
