The Best of Kathie Lee and Hoda

For the past couple years NBC was airing "Poker After Dark" weeknights 2:05AM-3:05AM. That ended in September. When that ended they were airing back to back episodes of "In Wine Country." Now for the past couple weeks they've been airing "The Best of Kathie Lee and Hoda" in the 2:05AM-3:05AM time-slot. It's previous day tape. So it being Thursday the 27th now they're showing "Kathie Lee & Hoda" from Wednesday the 26th.

You beat me to this. I was just about ready to start a thread on this.NBC must love torturing it's LATE NIGHT audience. Why oh why would you put Kathie Lee and Hoda on Late Night.Local affiliates should start just airing thier own syndicated shows after 11:35.Jay has had his run,Jimmy is awful as a talk show host and end the night off with Kathie Lee.What the hell are they on......

If any local stations still signed-off and aired test patterns this program might
be coming in behind them.

Hoda's a MAN, baby!!

I know. With the massive feet she has. During the first couple mins of the show she was showing off her giant shoes saying she falls in-between sizes and has to buy shoes a size larger than she needs. Then she showed that sticking a maxi-pad (woman's feminine hygiene product) into the shoe her too big shoe fit just right.

What was "Kathie Lee and Hoda" and "In Wine Country"? Never heard of them. Which explains why NBC's late night is in the tank.

How bout if they bring back the NBC overnight news?

You would think they would considering they have MSNBC reports as stock of potential anchors whom careers could be launched from the overnight block of news on the NBC network itself.

"Kathie Lee and Hoda" is the 4th hour of the Today Show, which has been "dubbed" such in the past year. "In Wine Country" is a local show produced by San Francisco Bay Area NBC O&O station KNTV, but recently piped to the network at an overnight and weekend timeslot filler.

On that note, retreads of daytime shows make lousy latenight shows. Couldn't they find something better, like an infomercial or test pattern or something?

Never watch the poker show because it was boring.Kathie Lee and Hoda are alittle better.NBC should give the time back to the locals for syndi shows probably Extra-Access Hollywood or some other programming.

Some stations are taking action in their own hands by bumping NBC's late night shows after Jimmy Fallon and showing infomercials or syndicated shows (often repeats from earlier) instead.

The fourth hour of Today still doesn't get 100% clearance nationwide, so I suppose this is part of Comcast's plan to amortize all its assets. There's really no audience at this hour for anything. I suspect this is also part of a plan to capitalize on the departure of Regis in three weeks. Last century, Regis and Kathie Lee made Host Chat the most entertaining 20 minutes of TV each day. KLG and Hoda do a quick dozen or so minutes, so when Regis' fans bail on The Kelly Ripa Hour, they will check out KL.

Plus, KLG and Hoda are frequent guests to Late Night with Jimmy and also frequent punchlines, so the late night audience knows who they are.

The "Best" of Kathie Lee and Hoda is akin to referring to the finest "room" at San Quentin. ::)
At least they are just running the previous day's show, instead of culling "the best" from the crop.
Imagine the donnybrook and how many voters they would have if they opened some internet voting for viewers to pick their favorite Kathie Lee Hoda moments.
Yahoo News would be all over that.

Not good to see KLG/Hoda late nights. If I was running an NBC affiliate (or the network) it would be Leno/Fallon/Carson Daly, followed by a 30-minute overnight newscast (at 2:05) IF affiliates want to, then give it back to the locals for sign-off/infomercial/Byron Allen filler, etc.
