The best playlist software?

Hello,
I'm curious what playlist software is the best to use. I plan on using it for internet radio and I want to make sure I use the best software. What is the most common software? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

This may be more suited for the "engineering" forum.. What do you refer to as playlist software? scheduler? or automation (the application that plays the music) ?

I don't use either..but most 'internet radio stations' (that are not tied to a big broadcast group) use something such as Spacial Audio's "SAM" or something like "StationPlaylist Studio" -- both which combine some scheduling along with playout abilities.

I don't do internet radio, but I use zara for my music playlists. It's simple to use and you can insert time files, jingles and other stuff. Best of all, it's freeware and there are user groups for support. Time files are handy when you are listening away and need to be reminded of the time.

I use a program from OTS AUDIO...been using it for about six years..they have several types from amateur to full broadcast...free to $$$$..I use the pro turntable version because I like the looks of them spinning. If you don't need to schedule spots...that will work fine..Their is a free version you can down load and use forever...but every three or four songs it will say "ots audio" by itself..opt for the pay version which I think is 40 bucks..and you can disable that..It has a great stereo EQ, as well as other features to fine tune your sound..Since I only use it for a live show..and load my spots and jingles on the fly..I don't need the schedule aspect of the more expensive versions..and in six years..it has NEVER so much as burped..knock on wood.. ;)

Hey I like that OTS AUDIO. I just tried it out and it is indeed cool. And fun. Thanks for sharing.
