My #1 year for Hip Hop Music is
1998: Lauryn Hill's Miseducation, Jay-z's Vol. 2 Hard Knock Life, DMX, Busta, Timbaland & Magoo, Pras, ODB & Mya ... Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz UPTOWN BABY! ... Brandy & Mase were sittin' On Top Of The World and Public Enemy Had GAME.
A VERY CLOSE SECOND PLACE FOR ME WOULD BE:
1997: The year of Puff Daddy And His Family!!! Puffy was ALL Around The World and ALL OVER THE PLACE, on MTV and on the radio... you couldn't listen to the radio for 20 minutes without hearing him on a remix, all about the BENJAMINS baby, you Couldn't Hold Him Down... 97 was also the year of Biggie's final album, Put Your Hands Where Busta's Eyes Can See, Missy's Supa Dupa Fly was coming up BIG TIME and she Couldn't Stand The Rain, you also had Wu-Tang, Jay-z and Foxy, The debut of Mase, an LL was still a Phenomenon! 8)
