Now that would be interesting...but would 3-WZ's new "hipper approach" fit Jeff's delivery? I think he is superb on the Bus. He really fits (and seems to enjoy) the format. Always liked Jeff...he is just one of those voices that stands out...and he sounds like everyone's best friend...a great quality to have. But I am not sure if he'd be a square peg in a round hole at a station that at least on the surface appears to be skewing younger?Spackler1 said:Latest rumor going 'round and 'round is that Jeff Brown's contract at The Bus is up at the end of the year, and he will be going back to 3WZ.

Have any ideas on timeline on this if it were to happen (and could rumors of pulling out to move back to 3-WZ just be a ploy to help bolster renewal talks with Forever for more $$$ in his pay)?

Highly doubtful the rumors are true. Jeff Brown doesn't need more money from Forever. His "real job" is at Penn State. Jeff is an independant contractor for Forever Broadcasting and they aren't going to pay him more money knowing there are plenty of people waiting in line for that slot to open up.
I don't agree that he sounds like everyone's best friend. Just MHO.
Jeff's "real job" is at PSU....and your point is??? My real job is something very different too, but that does not mean that my radio gig is any less important to me. At one time, Jeff Brown WAS 3-WZ (I realize I am setting myself up to be slammed here). But seriously. When there was any event at all, Jeff was the man. I can also tell you at one time in the midst of a radio research campaign in State College, B103 learned quite all too well that Jeff Brown was the most recognized personality in the local market. Why would it be so impossible to believe that the man would ever think of wanting to get back a piece of that kind of action if he could? I do not really know Jeff well, but thats only human nature. That'd be like someone tossing me a PD Gig and saying "do what you want with it". Real Job or not, I'd have to give that some thought because when I was involved in programming is when I was at the top of my game.Becker said:shilton said:Now that would be interesting...but would 3-WZ's new "hipper approach" fit Jeff's delivery?
