The Big Lewinski

That's what came to mind last night as Nurse Jeff and I heard Krazy Kid [glow=red,2,300]go on and on and on and on and on[/glow] about how swell it was to work for TMISU and their 80 year old station. Whattya say we all head toward Bill Johnson's Big Apple after the suckfest tonight on KT'R and order the Gerald special? ::)

KTAR has reinvented itself several times over during its 80 years. Akbar is still doing the same tired old act, and it only seems like for 80 years.

In defense of Kid, even Dave Pratt spent the first few days at KZON praising the management and saying how glad he was to be working for Infinity (now cBS).

I'm sure tonight he will have calmed down a bit and the thrill of being at a heritage station will wear-off. :D

I missed him last night, but I'll tune him in tonight. Good luck, Kid!

From the little I heard, he sounded a little squeeky, and said "good morning" at least once, but other than that, he wasn't bad. He's never done talk before, has he? If that's the case, I would have to say it was a pretty good first show.

Thanks guys. Being a native, the KTAR calls carry deep respect in my heart. So yeah...I was incredibly excited and humbled by the opportunity. I gave thanks to those who have given me this chance. Note to self...after 12noon it's no longer morning. LOL. Funny how your subconcious takes over sometimes.

You done fine Kid. Don't listen to idiots like the doctor. He screams about KT'R sounding way too old with PatMcMan. Then, when KT'R puts on younger guys he yells at them for whatever stupid reason he can make up. It's clear he just can't stand KT'R and hates whoever they put on. There are a few of his groupies on here you have to learn to ignore as well. Good luck tonight. I thought you sounded good last night.

Wow. The Internet is incredible. Do a radio talk show and get instant feedback.

Couldn't listen last night, will tune in tonight. Good luck Kid!

I agree with everyone on one point it was his first show. Give dude a chance...his skills are not in question here..Kid has always put on a quality show. Good Luck brother!

Wow, Zuma. And you're still doing the tired old act you've been doing for (seems like) 80 years in reflexively criticizing anything Akbar says. Like him or not, Akbar has keen insight into radio.

Akbar uses tired old cliches and stale jokes.

Which is fine, except he uses them to complain - always - about KTAR being a stale old cliche joke.

And anyplace where Akbar's act is viewed as "keen insights" is skating on the edge of irrelevence...

And, predictably, you come on and whine incessantly about it, [EDIT]

zzzzzzzzzzz

[EDIT-inflammatory]

Yup, and then you will just as predictably blah blah blah.

We're getting real boring, predictable and stale: you, Akbar and me.

Which was, of course, my first point.
----

Brainstorm!

We could all switch names.

You could be Lost Dutchman Mine, I could be Malibu Ken, and Akbar and his pretend friend could be Ren and Stimpy!

No, no, that won't do. It would all still be stale and trite.
