The Blizzard Flagler Beach

I'm glad the Blizzard is off the air it sucked bad all the volunteer jocks thinking they where hot s--t and KP Manning what a blowhole he sounded like s--t and [EDIT-inflammatory content]

Money is the reason WFBO has left the air. Apparently, Chris Lash tried to get the FCC the license, but didn't succeed. WFBO was under investigation by the FCC who was looking into underwriting announcements and other offenses for which they were fined. Chris' wife has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and they moved back to Pennsylvania. Info I have gathered says with revenues down, Ron Kocher looked at his options and decided to shut the station down.

Yes, its radio.... everyone seems to brag for one reason or another. They were no different than some other stations I have heard.

I knew the Sunday Night DJ from being at their shows at the VFW, hes a good guy and very humble. I would never say he was like that.

CFLradio, I didnt know they had legal issues. I just knew they were gone and they turned the license in.

You have a right to your own opinion, and I will fully support your right to freedom of expression, however, I have found over the years that if you cannot say anything positive about a situation and especially people, don't say anything. That's just a very good practice to follow. You don't have to like any particular person, but speaking ill of them says something about your own charactor. Afterall, you never know when harsh, negative words you publish will come back later to haunt you...

Exactly!

Well said, Mark.

Even if one doesn't care about being a nice person, then, for selfish reasons you shouldn't insult people. (disagreeing and disputing facts can be done without insulting someone)

You never know, when you might end up working for or with the person, you've insulted. You might become a neighbor of this person or even become a relative through marriage! :) You never know, stranger things have happened!

I strongly believe in sticking to the facts without being insulting.

If the original post had mentioned just exactly what he didn't like about the programming or some particulars (without hitting below the belt with profanity and physical insults), this could have been a good thread.

Just to be clear, the problems that WFBO-lp had with the FCC were pre-Chris Lash. The original licensee (the Church that owned it) had the FCC problems. And that was the same group that took it dark.

Yes, well put Mark...
I know for a fact K.P. Manning went 'BACK' to the blizzard this past September after being asked by Chris Lash to do so. He stayed there for a very short while as cflradio put Chris had to go back to his home state due to his lovely Karen's health problems and he would never get the license transferred to his name. Plus, John Black got another gig because he was privy to all that was happening. It is a shame this happened. I only wish health and success for all considered and a miraculous healing for Karen.
For years with Manning as the GM and great volunteers who loved what they were part of, the blizzard was good and served a purpose needed in the Flagler community. I am sure many people miss it. Just my opinion.

OK you guys are right adolescent insults don't serve a purpose I had a run in with Manning years ago and he really pissed me off its a new year I apologize
