Glenn Beck gone? Is he moving over to TVN?
That's the rumor. But I'm not exactly in-the-know. This is all second hand info. Maybe somebody who's actually inside the building will shed some light.
My Jones/ Dial Global rep spilled the beans-
Yes- Glenn Beck to going back WTVN (I won't say in what time slot)
This shows the value of the five year market exclusive contract WTDA had with Premiere Radio Network.
also- Michael Savage going from WYTS to WTDA and Neal Boortz to coming WYTS (evenings)
Clark Howard also coming to WYTS.
This looks like programming for four different radio stations will be affected to some extent.
99.7 FM, 103.9 FM , 610 AM and 1230 AM all look to have some programing changes over the next few
weeks. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see WMNI 910 AM go to all spots programing during the next few weeks.
As far as Glenn Beck moving over to WTVN radio, I would expect to see him take over his old time spot on WTVN from 9:00AM to Noon. Joel will then be moved up to evenings on WTVN. That way Joel will stay on
WTVN and they will have the same amount of hours devoted to local programing on the station as before.
As for as Michael Savage moving off of WYTS in favor of Neal Boortz, that is a good change. In fact, I asked
the old WTVN/WYTS P.D. about that very thing last year.. It looks like they may not be under contract with Savage any more. This is what Bruce Collins. ex P.D. had to tell me about that program request I made last year:
