The Bone

What is going on with the Bone? Alice is here and then gone...and what about the rest of the jocks? Are there changes afoot in Portland. We met Murphy at the Seadogs last night...very nice guy...The Bone Bus was awesome!!! Is he staying in afternoon drive...or are there plans in the works for the departure of Stern? Will we be seeing more of Nicky around Portland now? Some of us met her at The Pier...she talks about being out and about in the Old Port...will she be making regular appearences now? Is Mitch gone for good? He was nowhere to be seen for a long time and then he was back until Mark took over while Alice was MIA. He use to do weekends even after he left the night slot. Murphy seems to be the only staple here and we all know about Howard...see ya by the way...no way am I going to pay money to listen to him on satelite. His show has turned into nothing more than a huge advertisement for satelite radio and a forum for him to whine about his "whoa is me" mentality. Artie is funny...but Robin!!! Please let her tv show launch soon so I don't have to listen to that nails on a chalk board voice anymore. Sayonara Howard...perhaps BLM had some fantastic foresight in not hiring you back in the day...then again if they had your career would be over now like Persky's. Anyway I will sit back...and keep my ear to the airwaves awaiting the future...

Kinda vicious today, aren't you Signal Hunter? Howard continues to survive just fine and will be in even better financial spirits the moment he disappears from commercial radio stations. As for Mark Persky....what pleasure are you gaining by picking on somebody who is not on the air...at least for the moment?
Verbally kicking an announcer who had a 20 year run in the same market is really a cheap shot!

You know the deal with Greater Portland radio stations.....get the best quality jocks (or syndicated shows) you can...BUT GET 'EM AS CHEAPLY AS YOU CAN!

Until the 'keepers of the cash' understand that GREAT TALENT costs money and that listeners are occasionally interested IN A LOT MORE THAN THE 'SAME OLD, SAME OLD'...they'll go to a source that offers more!
