I've heard nothing about a flip, but I do know Scott Strong has resigned and Jeff K is trying to get the job.

I have a feeling with jeff in the drivers seat we may see a move towards alt.rock ala merge, which was a great format for the station. Bone is just a piss-poor excuse of a format that hasnt found its way.

I doubt he will get the job ... the fact that he does't embrace the Bone format outside of his job will hurt him ... If the decision is made to change format, all bets are off. Just my two cents.

I don't live in Dallas but am quite familiar with the market... in my humble opinion a totally new format needs to be there. merge, bone, and so on just hasn't worked. I'm thinkin classic country (look how well KKNG is in Okc) or a good oldies, one that plays real oldies. I could also see something like gospel, not christian ac, but gospel(worked well in Memphis, WHAL). just my opinion.

It'll be SOME kind of rock format. DOn't think for a second the Cowboys don't play into this. They'll keep a rock, male targeted format.....just drop the dick jokes 678 times an hour. Then I wouldn't be surprised to see to Ticket on 93.3 after the season. If that happens, those yokels will holler more than Stern did when he conqered other markets in morning drive.

I believe when Cumulus take over, it will become a clone of Rock 103.7 in Houston with Walton & Johnson in the morning.

The Bone will likely become even more bland and generic to appeal the the broader Rock/Jock listeners they will pick up. This means more "great" songs like George Thoroughgood's "Bad To The Bone"....... It's the mindset not--- of a Rock Music Lover.....But beer-lovers that like sports and frat rock......And fart jokes, etc. etc. etc.Too bad DFW can't support a Rock Station that plays "Quality" Rock music all the time....instead we get Corproate Classic Rock. I'm so un-proud....
