i take it everyone notices the bones hilarious taglines (although it is kinda wrong to bash WZZO) but its still funny.

i have heard:
"Our motto is kick ass and take names, well while were kicking ZZO's ass were taking your name"
and
"if you like cold beer, hot chicks, and think ZZO blows, this must be your radio station"
also, when i was on my way to dorney park in july i heard this one:
"ZZO thinks this rocks: (a clip from the guess who - no sugar tonight was played), well we think ZZO blows"

like i said, funny. but its not right to bash ZZO, even though the bone beats them and the taglines are funny as hell.

anyone else know some of the bones taglines?
 
because ZZO still deserves respect, i mean they have been around for 30 years. even tho the bone is better
 
That is too funny. I find when you try and insult your competition. It mentions them before you. So I guess case in point to mention WZZO first...It already makes them more of viable source than you the competitor.
 
mr wattson.........in respone. the biggest difference between ZZO and the HAWK: The HAWK has BIG #'S AND even BIGGER REVENUE

The Bone sounds great and it's using "heritage "station and "market" legend WZZO as it's punching bag... what could be more fun? It's Rock 'n Roll...It's nice for a change not to hear "the best tested rock music that rocks.." THE BONE JUST ROCKS...AND THEY DONT CARE WHAT ANYBODY THINKS ABOUT IT..at least that's what it sounds like....so hat's off to the BONE!

The fact that Nassau owns the Bone and the HAWK...must be making Rick Musselman very happy.
 
Ok.ZZO have been around for 30 years.They look & sound like it too. :D Time to do a YSP and revamp the whole station.

Their morning show is terrible. Are they in 8th or 9th grade?
 
The Bone's tagline should be, we play all the new nauseating rock music without Fleetwood Mac sandwiched in between. Otherwise we still suck!
 
hey, Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands!

and the bone does not suck. zzo kinda does
 
I like Fleetwood Mac too but is it neccessary to hear them everyday at 3:30? If you miss them at 3:30 well dont worry. You can hear them at 7.
 
Hey pickle two questions
1. Nauseating? Is that because you dont like the music on the bone.
2. "we still suck" How do they suck?
I think they are doing just fine bringing some much needed change to the New rock listeners in the area.
 
I do not like the Beastie Boys, Nickelback, Creed, System Of A Down, Disturbed, and all that other noisy baloney. I like Wilco, Son Volt, REM, older U2, The Replacements, The White Stripes, Kings Of Leon, Interpol, and the Kaiser Cheifs. When you play this music I will listen. Otherwise I will be listening to WDIY and WXPN. Case closed!
 
Not a bad list of bands that you like but saying the bone sucks....thats a little harsh.
Oh and as for the "case closed" ending of your last post...come on you know nothing is ever over on this board.
 
regarding THE BONE.......they are FAR from sucking....... they're doing just about everything right....
they say they ROCK and they ROCK...

the jabs at WZZO are a riot...and a lot are true.. plus it's tough to beat a 3 hour block of REAL ROCK from 9 til noon

I agree. Despite obvious musical differences the woman is an Angel! And, she's into the paranormal too. I wonder if she listens to Coast To Coast? I am in love with the woman! Oh, momma!
