KONO FLAT HaaaAAAA....they have been sliding for months. Y-100 up mainly because Roger Allen was taken out as pd. Good move!

If Bob Neil was smart he would give Roger his walking papers. Enough is enough! Its high time for Roger Allen's buddy GM to stop covering for him. Fresh new ideas are needed!

Suprise Suprise
Looks like the Beat took a stumble, but not to much to worry about....now with power on the air they may start to actually care about what they play.
KISS the same, very strong but then again who's to challenge
Y-100 hmmmmmm a change in PD's is probably the cause, no offense to RA, he is a good PD for KONO
KJ, Two guys seem a little tired and the stuff there play list needs to be refreshed just a tad.
KONO....Just as good as the last time, but remember they are after the older dollars not 12+
KTFM, can it be that they are the dark horse in this race? Another rise in ratings and with the purchase of 102.7 and 550 better keep an eye out.
KELZ Well so much for that...they rose from the ashes only to succumb to corporate radio, but who know they may actually give the Beat a run for there money, but 90 days is a lot of time
MIX took it the shorts this book, but now with Z out of the way look for a quick rebound.

And just like all you clowns who assume you know radio or have been fired from a station......I am out!

Everyone thought that Mix 96.1 would do better now that they switch back to Chr Top 40- Ummm think again. 106.7 going Hip Hop won't be enough to help Mix 96.1.

KCOR 95.1- LOL Maybe flipping La Kalle back in January of 2006 wasn't such a good idea. This format doesn't work in S.A and hasn't since day one. Look for a new format sometime in 2007, maybe sooner- I hope.

What's up with KROM 92.9? This station hasn't been doing well over the past several months.

The Outlaw- Still a no show in Ratings.

Don't waste time hoping. Recuerdo got a direct competitor a few months ago. We had the same thing happen (same competitor, too) earlier at Recuerdo in Austin and the effect lasted for about 3 or 4 months and the station came back nicely. In fact, September on Recuerdo was about the best month of the last 6. The 25-54 was quite nice, and very salable.

The real issue is that Spanish language listening is off for the whole market, which is why the leaders, KROM and KCOR-FM were both off.

What's up with KROM 92.9? This station hasn't been doing well over the past several months.

Spanish dominant diaries. Same issue as KCOR. There were over nearly 6 more Spanish shares 8 months ago as in september.

MIX may have dropped 12+...but if you have the opportunity to check out the breakdowns (maximizer tomorrow), you will see that MIX did GREAT for the demo (18-34 females). Great gains!

We own 1310. I was referring to La Lupe 1250, KZDC. Ripoff of the same format HBC invented in 2000.

Another thing, 12+ is not accurate with the ratings in 18-34 and 25-54. However, it does give you a general idea of what's happening in the market. .

Huh? 12+ is the most accurate table in the book, as it has the biggest sample. The broad demos like 18-34 and 25-54 are also pretty accurate if you do not think each month is "real." However, SA is one of the most wobble mid-tier (markets 25 to 75) markets I have ever seen, so you can go from a 5 to a 2 to a 7 in three discreet months.

Since when is a mainstream top 40 MAINLY concerned about PERSONS 18-34?  WOMAN 18-34 IS THE MAIN DEMO FOR A M/CHR....they WHOOPED ASS!!  Every station has a demo that they lose and gain regularly...something at that matter.

Have u seen KXXM's cume..how they skyrocketed...or the multiple increases in shares they made in most of the demo's...not to mention mornings, afternoons and nights gaining HUGE ground?

In fact....go compare last yrs kxxm numbers to this yr.....BIG increases, there's no argument there man. So, when you say "they took it in the pants"...thats a little harsh for what your describing....from the actually truth: numbers in b&w.

Not saying kxxm is the greatest station...but props are due, in order.

dallasboyz has access to the SA Arbs, which means they are closely related to or works in San Antonio radio. Who has access to Arbs this quickly? Only people who work in the market. dallasboyz should think Mix sucks. They work across town from Mix.

This is a pretty exciting time for San Antonio. The next few books should be pretty interesting. What will happen with 98.5 and Power 106? What will become of 96.1? Only time will tell. I think power will put a serious dent in 98.5 ratings but not enough to topple them. I also think Mix is doing pretty good. Now with no more competition, they should do much better.

Work at Mix? I think not my friend....but I will re-state what I said previously....credit is due in order If there has been major growth..and MIX did have major growth in some very key areas...period. The proof is in the pudding.

I also find the Beat to be a very good rythmic station, they are extremely in-tune with thier audience and community.....again, credit is dude to them as well..so I will give it.

We are all entitled to our opinions, and if you think someone sucks, thats your opinion. I am just simply stating the FACTS, which are the ARBs.

Yea, I will agree that the night guy at mix is prolly one of the best at that station (russell rush is also a good talent)....the night guy at mix is #2 women 18-34, #2 women 25-34, #3 persons 18-34 and #4 12+ (not to mention this is HIS first full book to himself, in this market)......... Russell Rush has awesome ratings as well.... not to mention THE SYNDICATED MORNING SHOW #1 woman 25-54 and other high markings in other demos.

And no, i do NOT work at mix....nor do I work or live in the market. But yes, I do know staff members from mix....and the beat, power and kiss.
