Well, count me as one whom isn't surprised if it's true. Since Citadel has placed WMGL into that trust, WWWZ has become more balanced of R&B and hip-hop (not just hip-hop) along with more spins of gold records. This is a hostile musical environment for a hip-hop-oriented urban station to survive. Also Z93 Jamz is much more established and tweaks itself to the tastes of the market's urban format audience of the 18-34 demographic.
