Now that "The Brew" is heard on 3 stations -- WQBW Milwaukee, WFJX in Columbus & KEFM Omaha, could eclectic rock "The Brew" replace KBIG 104? We badly need a fourth rocker, we've only got KROQ, Indie 103-1 & KLOS.

If you look at the Brew - it is very targeted to the midwest. Even if they came up with a west coast version - it would be a tough sell in L.A.
And, K.M. is right. "Arrow" couldn't survive as a rock station - they had to movew away from pure rock music and switch to "Jack" - which is much more pop-oriented.
With KLOS under a 2.0 share, I doubt they'd want to chase that. Plus, KBIG is healthier than Star ...

Personally I don't see Los Angeles "Thirsting" for a cold one yet.
The Brew is best left to the city made famous by beer, and other places where bratworst festivals tend to break out.

Nevertheless, there <u>is</u> a big difference demographically between the Midwest and Cslifornia, and the "Brew" format would not have the same appeal here as there.

I AM a midwesterner.
I didn't say farmers and hicks, but I know the midwest pretty well.
I think Brew would also work in Philly, Pittsburg, Jersey, NE industrial cities as well as Beer and Bratworst cities.
There is an underserved rocker crowd in LA but can they support a station?

The people who would be into a heavy rock 80's type format are numerous in Los Angeles, but not numerous enough to support a 100 million dollar property, so they are forced to get their music fix from strip clubs in the valley.

Surely there must be a few Strip clubs left for us? Here in Miami they have Sex swapping clubs, is that not sick?. There is one next to Radio Marti. Always found it interesting that Nude Strip clubs in L.A. County could not serve Alcohol, yet a Topless club can!
