Guys,

I live in Wichita, Kansas (original Chicagoan), and I knew that WGN was showing the Bulls/Pistons game locally in Chi-Town, but not on the superstation. I saw the game on NBA TV and they used Wayne Larrivee and Red Kerr to announce the game (they also promoted WGN shows). If you have NBA TV, do they used the local talent to broadcast the games? Lemme know....

That is generally the case with NBA TV; they just pick up one of the feeds and go from there. But here's what intrigues me - did Larrivee and Red promo the shows on their own or did they do the usual "here's what's coming up later on WGN" and a voice-over comes on? With it being a local broadcast only I could see if Larrivee did that himself.
I can't wait until WGN starts showing games nationally again (Dec. 17). I've really hated their schedule since the NBA limited their national games back in 1996.

It's pretty neat what they do. They use MOST elements of the local broadcast and create their own video graphics and music at the NBA Network...

As for the local/national market rights, WGN will have some of the games on the superstation... usually when WB network is playing reruns or on weekends.

Wow two old names that I wish was still calling Chicago bulls games, and yes I know that one is dead, but I so wish that Wayne Larrivee was still the play-by-play announcer for the Chicago Bulls and not Neil Funk. I might imagine after all these years that they would have their own announcers but sadly I have never paid attention to it.
