yep...I've been tuning in more often and keep hearing the same old Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Third Eye Blind, Green Day, Creed, STP. who plays the new Pearl Jam and Green Day? do they even play Phoenix, the XX, or Spoon?HoustonRocker2 said:Been a while since I've posted here, but what is your definition of songs that they've played that you consider "active"? Agreed, but you're wrong about Chevelle. "Jars" from last year was a huge active rock hit and "Letter From A Thief" is doing very well right now.
A good example of active rock would be a station that plays bands like Sevendust, Red, Hellyeah, Godsmack, Mudvayne, Pantera, Static-X, Sick Puppies, Nonpoint, Killswitch Engage, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, Korn combined with some Chili Peppers, Green Day, Pearl Jam, NIN, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Megadeth, Faith No More, Tool with on-air personalities that match the attitude of the music and can truly relate to the format and it's listeners. Some great examples active rock stations that get this formula right are WJJO, KUPD and KBPI. Hopefully the Buzz is moving more in that direction. I think that would be a smart move on their part.HoustonRocker2 said:Been a while since I've posted here, but what is your definition of songs that they've played that you consider "active"?
