The Buzz sucks!

Seriously, I heard the same five songs within three hours! That's the last time I bring a radio to work. And why do they mix in With or Without You and Iris into a quasi-active rock playlist? I think Big Dog 106 is a much better rock station than the buzz...funny how they're both CC stations.

They're not the same format... and both being CC has nothing to do with it. Clear Channel does not dictate how your locally program your station.

KTBZ might as well be categorized as Alternative Hits. It's "Black Hole Sun", "Under The Bridge", "Low", "closer", "All Apologies", "Sex And Candy" and anything off the "Dookie" album all... day... long. They play Butthole Surfers "Pepper" and Blue October's "Into The Ocean" like they're new. They sound just like XM Lucy.

IF CC would go away then the Buzz would have a chance. I quit listening to the Buzz for a few years now. I do have it saved to a preset on my truck radio. From time to time, I bet if I were to put my radio on the buzz at this minute, there would be a commercial! haha!

As far as Big Dog 106, it has been labeled as a white-trash station! (no offense to those offended)

I feel your pain. I bought a portable Sirrius unit a few weeks ago. The content is FANTASTIC, but it has it issues with getting a signal inside offices. It has a feature to automatically pull content when you leave the unit on, so I just leave it on overnight and get about 10 hours to listen to at work. It's well worth the money if you have a job that lets you listen to the radio. The Buzz was the only station I could pull in at work and it almost drove me insane.

Once you go XM, you'll never look back.

It's so bad I got XM 2 and half years ago and then Sirius last year to a new vehicle. XM resides in the office with a great signal. We'll be adding another sat radio to a company car in the next couple of months. I have not listened to FM radio since I got XM well over 2 years ago. It's been bliss. Who cares what FM plays anymore!

I had XM but was sold the tuner (and other things) because I needed books for college  Now I listen to internet radio and download songs I like onto my iPod. I'll never sell that though. Plus I now have a large collection of rock and alternative songs after shopping sprees at Half Price books and Goodwill for CDs.

Sirius radio in my vehicle. Only time I would listen to regular radio was to listen to 95.7 when jazz was on or news radio in the morning (740am) while commuting to the office.

2 reasons why I didnt join Sirius or XM

sound quality and customer service are both horrible.

Don't listen to 957 your will pull your veins out! HAHAHAHAHA

Amen to that! the sound quality is a major disappointment

Sound quality is poor. I wonder what the actual kpbs equates to on FM radio?

Isn't it 96 kbps?

HDFM is about 46k, their main stream I think is about 96 total that they have. I think XM in some cases the channels are between 24-32kbps and lower.

That explains a lot. My mp3 collection is mostly 320.
I thought FM (and digital for that matter) would be much higher than 30 to 50.

No you know what sucks is WMYX 99.1 in Milwaukee. Unfort. the ratings don't reflect my opinions of it as it's doing unbelievable good.

The Buzz has become alternative rock for white trash in my mind. Only stick with the 30 songs from the 90's that everyone knows, and 10 songs from this decade that resemble Nickelback and Creed.

Man, I sound bitter. Don't mean to be, just tired of lowest common denominator radio...
