The CBS 2025-2026 season thread

CBS is not getting rid of the 12:35am/11:35pm slot and returning it to affiliates after all in the fall.

maybe classic CBS sitcoms reruns might do better in the slot then this show

hell Big Bang Theory reruns get good ratings on TBS that it's often what gives AEW a ratings boost at the start of Dynamite on Wednesdays.

I agree, it also says it airs in national syndication but not very many stations carry the show. They would definitely would of done better by giving the timeslot back to its affiliates.

Then why is Byron's Comics not leaving syndication plus hasn't that been in repeats since 2007 or 2008? Does Byron have something on CBS LMAO🤣. I think that CBS should give 12:35AM slot back to the stations in my opinion.

I looked it up and the series premeired in the 2006-2007 season but the show was so awful that the show was not picked up for new episodes and that Byron paid stations to carry his show past 2007 for barter syndication. They did produce new episodes again in 2014 but then the show still didn't do good so no new episodes were filmed but he keeps paying stations to air the show.

So they only made 2 seasons, one in 2006-2007 and the 2nd in 2014. He needs to get a hint that nobody likes his shows.

oh wow! So they have been running the second season for 10 years now and the first season for almost 20 years.

Skydance estimated closing date to take over Paramount is on August 7th. This is the estimated time when Skydance takes over Paramount+ and CBS.

UPDATED with internal memo: Paramount Global’s co-CEOs told employees Friday that they expect an August 7 closing date for the company’s merger with Skydance, praising staffers’ efforts during the grueling process of getting the deal done.

The companies had earlier confirmed the expected closing date, which follows an epic, years-long effort to sell the home of Paramount Pictures and CBS.

In a memo obtained by Deadline, co-CEOs George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy and Brian Robbins wrote that despite all of the turbulence, “Paramount has made great progress – none greater than over the past year. We truly have momentum as a company and that’s a testament to you, our talented teams, with your incredible ability to deliver hit shows and blockbuster films, and all the critical pieces that make those things happen behind the scenes from BALA, finance, HR, communications, marketing, technology, distribution, partnerships, sales, consumer products, government relations and more – even in the context of a rapidly evolving landscape.”
