The CBS touch at Mix.

The changes begin at Mix. Now known as "Today's Best Mix" with new voices and imaging and mysteriously the "." in 96.5 has went a miss. Now being touted as Mix 965. Noticed they are playing a lot more new music on 96.5 and artists like Nirvana has been scrapped. For a station known for it's lack of musical direction, it seems as though its trying one out.

Also, new TOH ID for Mix has become "KHMX, KHMX HD-1, Houston." Checked KLOL's, and it still ID's as KLOL/Houston. I guess they're holding off on new imaging for Mega, and it's estudios de Ford.

They're also promoting their website as mix965houston.com (formerly as khmx.com). I never noticed it before.

Yeah, on the HD signal (there are no sub channels yet), it says "KKHH-HD1 MIX in HD" and has for several days.

So, for those of us that are low def, Energy 96.5 (KHMX HD-2) is no more? I was wondering about KLOL-HD2 considering it was simul. KTRH. Figured it had to have went silent, but I'm surprised about Energy. I had heard several good comments about the subchannel.

"Energy 96.5" was an excellent CHR that played all the hits when KRBE didn't. I hope it isn't gone but it wouldn't make any sense for CBS to hold onto it with KKHH around.

Correct - no HD2 on 96.5 and 101.1. That doesn't really mean much with CBS, though - catching KKHH's HD2 dance format has always been hit or miss...one day it's on, the next it isn't.
